RIGSBY FREDERICK, Owner, Artistic Director, Sculptor

Rigsby Frederick built the salon in 1984 with the belief that training and mentorship is fundamental to having a thriving, successful business with a dedicated artistic team. Frederick stays focused on developing the talent he hires. The Salon’s educational system and advanced training seminars have helped promote and empower young hairdressers to explore and expand their skillsets.

Frederick also enjoys great success in the art and design world, as an award-winning sculptor, furniture and lighting designer, photographer, and landscape artist.

RAE PHILLIPS, Artistic Educator

I specialize in cuts, color, perms and styling.

At 18 years old, my decision was to become a hairstylist – a career I could have that I could do anywhere for as long as I chose. Best decision I ever made! I love to make people happy, develop wonderful friendships, have fun, and continue to learn new things!

I’m the President of Audubon Kiwanis, and I organize charitable events. I enjoy volunteering and taking care of the elderly in my family. I manage rental properties and enjoy tackling renovations. Church and travel are very important to me.

I love doing anything that enhances someone’s natural beauty and makes them feel confident. I enjoy haircutting, especially fine hair clients. I have fine hair myself so I understand the challenges and techniques of cutting, coloring, and styling it.

My son inspires me to be the best version of myself and to be that good example for him in all aspects of my life.

Shopping / bargain hunting is my stress reliever, traveling, and spending time with my husband and son.

I’m known for my style blowouts, but I most enjoy cutting and coloring.

I consider myself very fortunate to have been raised in a big, close-knit Italian family. Most of my down time is spent with them. I also enjoy listening to music, being with friends, and attending educational classes in and out of the salon to continue sharpening my skills as a stylist.

I’m inspired by continuously learning new things about this industry. But most of all, the real relationships you develop with your clients, and the times when they look in the mirror with a big smile on their face and thank me for making them feel beautiful.
